Leather Suits offer different features that vary on the style of riding that you do. If you are more of a race and faster rider the higher end suits are a great option. Higher end suits come with features like speed bumps that help with your speed and also include elbow guards for riders who may get really close to the ground. Upright cut suits typically do not include these feature and are known as “entry level” suits, although experience riders who do not participate in track riding use them all the time.

Comfort/Stretch:

One of the common mistakes a rider makes when purchasing a new suit make is getting a size too big. Your suit should be tight when you purchase it. Leather stretches about 10-20% over time. We understand that you make the ride with it once or twice and it may still feel uncomfortable, there is a way that riders recommend to others on how to break in their suit. We’ve heard if you sit in the sauna with your suit on it will form to your body then making it a little more comfortable for you.

Find Your Perfect Suit!

The main point we cannot express enough is that your suit is supposed to be tight when you try it on. Race suits are not designed to be walked around in, so trying to walk around in it and see if it is comfortable will not help you make your decision. You have to break it in just like anything else. Race suits are meant to protect you so they will be one of the pricier pieces of gear but their features will be well worth it. Good luck with finding the right suit!
