How to Get There?


Getting to Parker, AZ is fairly simple. The route you take to the dunes will depend on where you are coming from.


From Phoenix, AZ:

  • Get on the I-10 W
  • Take EXIT 45.
  • Turn right onto Vicksburg Rd. Pass through 1 roundabout.
  • Turn left onto State Highway 72/AZ-72. Continue to follow AZ-72.
  • AZ-72 becomes AZ-95
  • Welcome to PARKER, AZ

 

From Los Angeles, CA:

  • Get on the US-101 S toward I-5 S/I-10 E
  • Merge onto I-10 E via EXIT 1D on the left toward I-10 E/San Bernardino
  • Take the CA-177/Desert Center Rice Road exit, EXIT 192
  • Turn left onto Desert Center Rice Rd/CA-177. Continue to follow CA-177
  • CA-177 becomes CA-62
  • Turn right onto State Highway 62/CA-62 (Crossing into Arizona).
  • State Highway 62/CA-62 becomes S California Ave/AZ-62
  • Welcome to Parker, AZ

If you are visiting Parker, AZ between the months of October – April, make sure you stop by at the Desert Bar! This place is a rustic and quirky bar that was built on land that used to be a mining camp. Finding the bar can be a challenge because it is pretty hidden from the main city. It is located about 5 miles down a dusty and rugged dirt road. This unique bar is a great place to hang out with friends and they have a wide variety of beverages available.

Insider Tip: The bar is open only on the weekends from October until April. It is closed during the summer due to the heat.
 

Emerald Canyon Golf Course:


Take some time off from the river and enjoy a day at Parker’s Emerald Canyon Golf Course. This golf course is extremely popular because of its immaculate greens and breathtaking scenery. The golf course is carved out of the area’s canyon and mountains and overlooks the Colorado River.
