We understand the feeling of freedom you get when you are on your motorcycle, the freedom from technology or people because you are riding and cannot communicate with anyone. Unfortunately, it is not as easy as when you are in a car because you have to keep your helmet on and there is a lot of wind hitting you. Sometimes we need to be able to communicate with family or others and the only way to do that on a motorcycle is through Bluetooth communication systems. You may even want to have a Bluetooth communication system to listen to music, podcasts, or directions to the destination. There are different models of communication systems and each has different features. We will help you narrow down which may be the best fit for you.

Best for Solo Riders: Cardo Freecom 1

The Cardo Freecom 1 is great for the rider who rides alone the majority of the time. This communication system contains features that allow you to charge your device while you’re wearing it, which is perfect if you forgot to charge it. There is also a rider to passenger short range intercom keeps you both connected at all times. Other features include automatic volume adjustments and built-in FM radio. Again if you are not a rider that is a part of a group because you mainly use your bike to ride to work or just enjoy riding alone, then this is the communication system for you.

Best for Small Group of Riders: Sena 10S

The Sena 10S can support up to 4 riders and work in a distance up to 1 mile.  The 10S has a talk time of up to 12 hours and features noise cancellation: “Advanced Noise Control”. This communication system is one of the more affordable Sena systems. It can operate and do the very basic functions you need for your commute or ride with a few riders.

The Cardo PackTalk Bold is great for a large group because it can support up to 15 riders and has just under a mile of range. Cardo systems allow you to connect to any brand of Bluetooth communication systems. This communication has HD audio with 40mm wide speakers that can delivery clear high definition audio for talking or music listening. There is also another feature that allows you to go in “private mode”, so you can talk to a single user using a private channel. It also comes with a built-in FM radio, long battery life, and automatic volume adjustments.

Best All-Around: Sena 20S

The Sena 20S is considered one of the best communication systems for many of their features. The battery life of this headset lasts very long which is perfect when planning to go on an all-day riding trip. The speakers and microphone this communication system have some of the best reviews in the business and along with great microphones, its voice commands are almost perfectly accurate.  The design of the headset is one of the more stylish designs with a more futuristic appeal to it.

Best High-End: Sena 30K

One of the best high-end communication systems is Sena 30K. It has many similarities to the Sena 20S but is known for the Mesh Network Functionality. You can use your Sena 30k to operate a range of primary phone functions. You can: make a call, end a phone call, reject a call or answer a phone call via voice activation. Audio multitasking is always on, while you are on the intercom, receiving GPS instructions will play at a lower volume in the background while an intercom conversation is happening.

Having a communication system is a great investment if you are a rider who spends a lot of time on your bike. Communication systems can help you pass the time by whether it be because you are talking on the phone or because you are listening to music or podcasts. Not to mention they can also help you reach your destination faster because you can listen to the directions as you go instead of having to check or wonder if you missed your exit. Before purchasing which ever communication system you decide to choose just make sure it can do what you need it for. We hope this helped you narrow down what you need!
