What to Know About the All-New Husqvarna® Norden 901

Husqvarna® has taken a step forward on expanding their motorcycle line and in November 2019 they announced the all-new Norden 901 at the EICMA. This new motorcycle is based on the KTM 790 Adventure R but with its own unique “Husky” touch. Husqvarna® describes their new bike as a concept that is a dynamic, twin-cylinder motorcycle that will feature advanced rider ergonomics and outstanding performance, based on years of rally experience, in a distinctly modern design. Why so Unique to Husqvarna®?

The Norden 901 is the first Husqvarna® designed for touring. Husqvarna® claims the bike as the perfect balance between off-road performance and on-road touring ability. Delivering effortless rideability and sensible, high-end modern equipment, this motorcycle will be used on daily commutes, extended adventures and everything in between. It is even more so unique because Husqvarna® has focused on dirt bikes for so long and it is exciting to see them expanding with this bike and others like the Vitpilen and Svartpilen.

What Is It Made For?

This motorcycle offers some versatility. It is an adventure bike so it is mainly for mixed terrain and can be taken for a little off-roading. It can also be considered a touring bike. This motorcycles also comes with side saddlebags that can be used for storage when taking a longer ride but also makes it a perfect bike for commuting!

Who It’s Made For?

The Husqvarna® Norden is made for an adventurer with good and extensive experience riding a motorcycle. Someone who enjoys taking their motorcycle into the dirt roads. It is ideal for those who also enjoy long-distance rides alone without a passenger. This bike offers storage but you can always add your own because it has that capability.

Built for Adventure

Husqvarna® made sure to add some features to their motorcycle like a USB port, integrated LED taillights and a functional tank rack. It rides on 21” front and 18” rear wire-spoke wheels. The Norden borrows from KTM’s lineup and runs conventionally operated WP suspension, and the same cockpit switches found on the KTM adventure line. It also has a 105HP, similar to the 790 Duke.

Styling

The style that Husqvarna® went with when creating this bike is unique because of its blend of modern design and classic line motorcycles. The Norden was designed to be a slim and light explorer motorcycle. Many have also expressed the color scheme of this motorcycle is a nice splash of color to Husqvarna®’s street line. There is also a screen that looks large enough and might offer good wind protection. One aspect that was made for gravel and mud roads are the bars that have a high position.

When Will It Be Available?

Availability dates from Husqvarna® have not yet been released. This motorcycle received a lot of positive remarks and opinions, many motorcycle enthusiasts are excited for production to start. Because there are so many rumors and excitement going around we’d say 2021 maybe when the company will begin to release the first made.

Husqvarna® has kept details like set date of sale, fuel capacity, price, and weight away from us at this time but we are expecting something from them soon.
